About the Mortgage Doctors

Ross Topping

Beginning work part-time at age 12, Ross learned the benefit of hard work and the value of a dollar at a young age.

"I specifically remember asking my father to borrow some money for my first car... he loaned me $1200, but made my sign a Note! I couldn't believe it... he even charged me 6% interest - monthly payments of $103 due on the first of each month... it really ticked me off at the time... it wasn't until years later that I appreciated this valuable 'real life' lesson..."

Ross attributes the compassion, values and ethics his mother instilled in him and his father's financial lessons as the foundation of his passion for educating people about mortgages.

A 13 year veteran of the mortgage industry, Ross has been educating listeners via The Mortgage Doctors Radio Network for over 5 years.

"There is so much mis-information and incompetence in the industry... most loan officers will tell people anything because they are just looking to make a buck... David and I are trying to turn the tables on these parasites... we educate the populous so that they cannot be taken advantage of."

Ross has been featured in numerous industry magazines, is the recipient of many awards and was the chief architect and visionary behind an Internet mortgage exchange that was quickly snatched up by a major online company.

Ross holds a degree in Psychology and Marketing from the University of Missouri - Columbia.

David Roach

The frugality displayed by his father showed David that he would need to work if he wanted to be successful. At the ripe age of 13 David began work at the local auto auction detailing cars and running paperwork. He worked there part time and on weekends until he graduated.

At 22 he had more experience buying and selling cars and had owned more vehicles than anyone twice his age, but, as most college-aged kids get, he grew restless.

He took a true departure from the auto industry and went back to school for three years and became an accomplished diamond cutter. While he enjoyed the work and was mezmerized by building fire into precious gems, he went back to his former passion and the driving force in his life.

Back in the thick of things, David quickly began traveling the country wholesaling cars for some of the Nation's largest dealers. Nearly as quickly, David felt handcuffed by his choice because he was proficient at his job and the work was lucrative.

"It finally got to be where I dreaded going to work. The money was fantastic, but the car industry was in a steep decline and was getting really shady. I knew I had to get out. Friends introduced me to the mortgage industry... its been roughly 15 years now and I can't imagine doing anything else."

David joined Ross on The Mortgage Doctors Radio Network in 2002 because they both share a passion for the industry and a goal to drive the bad players out of the mortgage business.
